2025 Staff Awards

At Wagga Trucks, the strength of the business comes down to the people behind it.

Our staff awards recognise the team members who consistently demonstrate professionalism, commitment, and pride in their work. These awards reflect the standards we hold ourselves to and the people our customers rely on every day.

Congratulations to our recipients for 2025!

  • Over the past few years, Wayne has taken on every challenge presented to him, and the growth we have seen on a professional and personal level has been remarkable. We are extremely proud of the way he consistently stands up for his department while continuing to support the wider team. He is always thinking of new ideas to implement and work closely with all staff to ensure every job is completed to a high standard.

He is a staff member who is always there — always saying yes, regardless of the time, the day, or whatever else they may have on. He has an incredible ability to make everything work, and his reliability and commitment does not go unnoticed.

Wayne’s loyalty to everyone at Wagga Trucks is clear in everything he does. He has built strong friendships across the business and is known for being approachable, relatable, and supportive.

Wayne is passionate about his role and consistently demonstrates a proactive, positive, and honest attitude.

Most importantly, we are excited to see what the next 12 months holds for him. We believe the year ahead will be a great one, both professionally and personally. This year has already included some significant milestones, including the impressive achievement of purchasing his own home — a true reflection of his hard work and dedication he has put in over the last few years to reach the finish line.

We cannot thank Wayne enough for the contribution her has made this year. He has truly been a breath of fresh air to work with and alongside.

    Congratulations Wayne!

  • Mick worked alongside Adrian for a significant period and truly embraces the values Adrian stood for. Adrian always had time for Mick and genuinely cared about how he was going, both inside and outside of work. They were at similar stages of life — buying homes, raising children — and shared a love for engines and a good (sometimes quirky) dad joke.

Over the past few years, Mick has worked incredibly hard and demonstrated tremendous growth, both professionally and personally. His dedication to Wagga Trucks and the people around him is unwavering. He is always willing to lend a hand — whether it’s after hours, at company events, or even in the personal lives of those around him.

We consistently receive positive feedback about Mick, particularly regarding the support and guidance he provides to younger staff members. He has witnessed Wagga Trucks grow from a much smaller business into what it is today and has been present for every milestone along the way.

Mick shows genuine care for his colleagues, his family, and his friends. His loyalty is evident not only through his strong work ethic — arriving early and leaving late — but also through the guidance, support, and values he shares with his family, friends, and children.

Mick truly represents what it means to be part of the Wagga Trucks family.

    Congratulations Mick!

  • An apprenticeship can be a long and challenging four years, but it is also a time of personal growth and the beginning of a rewarding career.

Isaac has made a significant impact since joining our team. He is well known as a larrikin, yet equally respected for his knowledge and maturity. While he brings humour and energy to the workplace, he also knows when it is time to be serious and focused.

Isaac approaches every task with a positive attitude, willingly takes on any challenge asked of him, and is always happy to put in extra effort. This includes attending after-hours pizza and learning nights to ensure they stay on top of his training and development.

Isaac has built a strong rapport with all staff members and has received excellent feedback from his TAFE teachers over the years. His department managers are extremely pleased with how far he has progressed and consistently commend his willingness to take on larger and more complex jobs, even those he hasn’t previously undertaken. He always say yes, completes tasks efficiently, and does so with a smile.

It is widely agreed that he has been an apprentice you want on your team. He works exceptionally well with mentors and continue to demonstrate a strong desire to learn and grow.

The next 12 months are an important stage in his career, and we are excited to see where his further training takes him in this next chapter. We look forward to supporting their continued development and witnessing the growth that his qualified years will bring.

    Congratulations Lofty!

  • We know training isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but in our industry it’s essential. With new models consistently being released, it’s important that we continue to stand as a well-respected dealer within the network, known for our technicians’ expertise.

Jerum, our E-Learning & Training Champion is a quiet achiever who always walks in with a smile on his face.

Dedicated to our brands, he has strong knowledge across both mechanical and electrical systems, and when there’s work to be done, he knuckles down and gets it done.

Completing close to 100% of both Hino and Volvo modules and attending almost every Pizza & Learn night, his dedication to training continues to make him a better technician and a great example for the rest of the team.

    Congratulations Jerum!

  • This year Amy stepped into a role with minimal prior knowledge and turned that challenge into an outstanding success. From the very beginning of her time with us to now, we have seen massive growth in both confidence and capability. Through determination and a genuine willingness to learn, she didn’t just adapt — she’s thriving.

We are incredibly proud of the organisational and follow-up skills she has developed, along with the strong rapport she is now building with manufacturers, suppliers & other staff members. Her professionalism continues to grow every day.

While she may lack common sense from time to time (she admits this), she certainly keeps everyone on their toes — and it adds to her character we’ve all come to appreciate. Known for her wit and great sense of humour, she brings energy and positivity to the team. You can’t teach enthusiasm for a job, and her enthusiasm has taken her a long way already, with even further to go.

    Congratulations Amy!
