Announcement: Wagga Trucks is Expanding

We have some big news to share. Wagga Trucks is expanding to the Canberra Region.

From 20 July, we’ll be on the ground in the region as the authorised dealer for Volvo, UD and Mack, along with Freighter Group Trailers, supporting operators across the Southern Highlands, Goulburn, Canberra, and the South Coast from Ulladulla to Eden.

This expansion is a practical move for Wagga Trucks and for the customers we support. With a team on the ground in Queanbeyan, we’ll be better placed to support truck operators across a wider region equating to 22% of NSW.

For nearly three decades, Wagga Trucks has steadily grown by building long-term customer relationships, supporting businesses and owner-operators as their needs have changed, and taking a practical approach to keeping operators moving. As we expand into the Canberra region, that same approach is coming with us. Same standards, same commitment, with the full support of the Wagga Trucks team behind it.

We're pleased to introduce Ben Yates, who will be heading up the Queanbeyan operation. Ben brings more than 20 years of experience across the truck, transport and rural industries, along with a practical understanding of what operators need from their dealership. He understands the operational demands of the industry and the importance of having a dealer partner that helps keep businesses moving. Based locally, Ben will oversee the Queanbeyan operation while working closely with us and our General Manager, Olivia, as part of the wider Wagga Trucks business.

“We’re delighted to see this dealership transition into the hands of an experienced and trusted dealer partner who shares our commitment to customers and the local community. This investment ensures continuity for customers while strengthening our presence in the Canberra region. We look forward to supporting the team as they build on the dealership’s strong foundations and continue delivering outstanding sales and after sales service,” said President and CEO Martin Merrick.

We look forward to sharing more as we get closer to 20 July.
